Grandmother Giovannina cakes are a reminder of one of the cakes from when she was young and when she worked in the family's bakery. The cakes that were prepared were of different forms, but the most common were the shape of the cock and the round one.
You start by preparing the yeast eight hours prior to processing. Once you've set everything melt the butter and pour in the mixture, then you start to knead vigorously and add the flour until you have a stiff dough. Then take the dough and stretch, giving it the shape of a rooster.
Take the raisins and place it over the dough. Then cover it all with another layer of dough to create the shape of the legs, the comb and the eyes. Bake at 170 degrees for 45 minutes.
