20/11: The project's kick off
On November 20th, the Grandma's Design project was launched officially at the Electrolux Experience Center in Brussels. More than 50 foodies and designers attended the workshop on Food Design.
International professionals in Food Design gave the attendees a taste of the various aspects of the discipline: the 'speculaas' recipe by one of our grandmothers was transformed by chef and food innovator Nicolas Decloedt, Francesca Zampollo (International Food Design Society) gave a passionate introduction to Food Design, Francoise Laskar (MA Food Design in Belgium) and star chef Bart De Pooter revisited a personal recipe and Sonja Stummerer (Honey & Bunny) incited the attendees to consider and reconsider the shaping of food.
